After earning my Bachelor of Business Administration, I set out to build a career I believed would bring fulfillment. I worked as a business analyst at Nova Scotia Power and later as an IT consultant at IBM, drawn to the world of analytics. But despite the opportunities, something was missing—there was no real sense of achievement or purpose. I realized I had been following a path I thought I should take, rather than one that truly excited me.

That’s when I decided to make a change. I’ve always been passionate about working with people, so when my grandfather, Bob McVicar, invited me to join him in real estate, I jumped at the opportunity. Now, four years into my career, I can confidently say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Helping clients find their dream properties has given me a sense of fulfillment I had never experienced in the workplace, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.
